Photo essay: The Arc of Attrition 2019

The Arc of Attrition is a 100-mile ultra-marathon, hosted by the Cornish event’s organiser Mudcrew. Starting in the picturesque village of Coverack, the route takes the competitors around the peninsula of Cornwall. This extreme coastal ultra-marathon includes a strict 36 hour cut off.

In 2018, the DNF rate was 54%. This race is only for the experienced trail runner and includes self-navigating potentially hazardous terrain. This year saw Team GB athlete Kim Collison winning and setting the new record time of 20hrs 43mins.
